denon avr 4802 receiver review
This is a review of the amp in the studio. There are many reviews, all
glowing!
It also doubles as a digital audio patchbay and video switcher.
MOTU 2408 mk3
24 tracks of ADAT simultaneously, BAM! lets mix.
E-mu 1820m
Apogee filters, yummm! This thing is the best. All audio enters here
first
RevealX
okay... lets talk about speakers for a sec. This tannoy is actually my
center channel in the 5.1
set up. The other 4 speakers are actually something quite special. A
man by the name of Shimon Ror made the original monitors for Electric
Lady Land Studios in NYC for Jimmy Hendrix. Some years after Shimon
started his own company. It did not last long but yours
truly bought two pairs in 1986 and I've been mixing on them ever since.
So I know them like the back of my hand (or ear as the case may be.)
Over the years they have been re-coned and
reconditioned and they now sport drivers from the old
Tannoy PBM 6.5.
The synergy is joyful.
Monster Cable
good cables=good studio.
AudioQuest
really good cables=really good sound.
Audio-Technica 3035 Condenser mic
The 3035 microphone. A good all round, multi purpose work horse.
Audio-Technica 4040 Vocal Mic
The 4040. A really good vocal mic. Well... opinions differ on this
subjective subject.
So after much research, listening, and check book balancing I picked
these.
You want something different... we can always rent it for you.
